Key Responsibilities
• Record Financial Transactions: Accurately log all income, expenses, and financial activities using accounting software.
• Maintain General Ledger: Reconcile accounts and correct discrepancies to ensure ledger accuracy.
• Manage Accounts Payable & Receivable: Track and process invoices, payments, and collections while fostering strong vendor and client relationships.
• Administer Fee Payments: Review, edit, and initiate agency fee payments from multiple customer portals.
• Reconcile Bank Accounts: Match internal records to bank statements and resolve inconsistencies.
• Monitor Budgets: Support budget tracking, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Support Compliance & Audits: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and assist with internal/external audits.
• Expense Management: Track and monitor expenses; recommend cost-saving opportunities.
• Assist with Regulatory Filings & Tax Prep: Collaborate with accountants to ensure accurate and timely filings.
• Generate Financial Reports: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have:
• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred)
• Ability to pass a background check
• Proficient in bookkeeping principles and accounting best practices
• Experience using accounting software (QuickBooks preferred)
• High attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to analyze financial data and resolve discrepancies
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Nice-to-Have:
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, lookups)
• Industry-specific experience (e.g., retail, healthcare, nonprofits)
• Familiarity with cloud-based accounting systems or ERP platforms
