We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven VP of Operations to oversee multiple fast-paced manufacturing facilities spanning 300,000 sq. ft. with diverse product lines. This role requires extensive experience in plant management, operations, and manufacturing, coupled with strong leadership skills to drive team performance and profitability. The VP of Operations will champion site safety, operational excellence, and efficiency, ensuring seamless production and timely product shipments.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Direct and manage all plant operations, including Materials Management, Manufacturing, Facilities Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Shipping/Receiving, and Planning, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are met.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce compliance with OSHA regulations, environmental standards, and company safety policies.
- Financial Management: Own and manage the plant’s P&L, driving cost optimization, revenue growth, and overall profitability. Monitor and report on performance against targets.
- Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of 10 direct reports and 200 associates, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Supply Chain, Engineering, Sales, and Corporate Leadership to align production with business objectives.
- Strategic Execution: Drive both short-term and long-term strategies to enhance production efficiency, capacity planning, and operational scalability.
- High-Speed Adaptability: Make real-time decisions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment to resolve challenges and capitalize on opportunities.
- ERP & Data Analytics: Leverage ERP systems and data-driven insights to forecast demand, track KPIs, and optimize decision-making.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 10 years of experience in manufacturing, welding, metal fabrication, assembly or construction , with at least 7 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience managing a nine-figure P&L, driving cost reductions, and maximizing profitability.
- Expertise in labor planning, workforce optimization, and capacity planning.
- Proven leadership managing large teams and cross-functional projects.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and data analytics tools, Epicor or similar ERP system preferred.
- Ability to excel in a high-growth, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
