Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with the ability to manage financial records accurately and efficiently. This is a part-time job at our professional office in Orem, 5 days per week. You can create your own schedule between 9 AM - 5 PM. We are a stable company serving the construction industry since 2007 with 20 employees.
Duties
- Accounts Receivable: Manage incoming payments, track revenue, and maintain accurate records. Contact clients via phone and email to confirm information and communicate needs.
- Accounts Payable: Process and track outgoing payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Lien Waivers: Sign and return lien waiver documentation as required.
- Payroll: Process employee payroll, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Collections: Communicate with clients and vendors to collect overdue accounts as needed.
- Invoicing: Prepare and send invoices for services rendered or products sold through Quickbooks Online. Input invoices monthly into client project management software programs.
- Deposit Checks: Manage check deposits and maintain a detailed record of all transactions.
- Employee Time Off: Track employee PTO and manage related records.
- Reimbursements: Handle employee expense reimbursements promptly and accurately.
- Match Receipts and Checks: Reconcile receipts and match checks for proper categorization.
- Onboarding Paperwork: Assist new employees in completing necessary paperwork and records for tax documentation.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar financial role.
- Proficiency in Quickbooks Online - 2 years experience required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Proficiency in Google email and Suite.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of construction lien waiver process is a plus.
- Experience using Construction Project Management Billing Tools such as Procore, Trimble Pay, Bill, and others is a plus.
- Comfortable learning a wide variety of computer software applications and online programs. Experience with Asana and the GoTo Phone System highly desired.
