Summary
As the Vice President of Accounting at Accentra Credit Union, you will lead our accounting department to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance. Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting functions and personnel.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Lead the accounting team by providing guidance, training, and performance management.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for process improvements within the accounting department.
- Provide financial guidance to senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Oversee and direct investment and ALM activities including leading all committee meetings.
- Develop annual budget.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Credit Union accounting experience is preferred.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within accounting or finance departments.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively and drive performance improvements.
- Analytical skills
- Experience in strategic planning and project management is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across departments.
