Job Summary
We are looking for a junior staff accountant to join our growing team. This professional will be working with the accounting department across several business units to assist with day to day accounting functions as well as preparing and maintaining monthly financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Account Reconciliation
- Journal Entries
- Small amount of AR and AP coding and entry
- Maintaining accounts receivable, document bills and supporting documentation
- Maintaining accounts payable, ensure timely payment of invoices, confirming validity of the debt and gathering appropriate signatures
- Updating financial records via accounting software
- Gathering payroll expenses and input into appropriate entry line
- Preparing quarterly budget under the purview of senior management
- Analyzing and prepare financial statements and prepare balance sheets
Experience Requirements:
- Yardi Voyager 7S Commercial and Appfolio Experience Preferred
- Experienced in Property Management accounting, preferred
- Bachelor Degree completion or in progress
- Knowledge of Quickbooks Profitability Reporting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Attention to detail and demonstrated organizational and time management skills
- Perform general administrative duties as required
Skills Required:
- Attention to detail with an eye for spotting potential discrepancies and miscalculations.
- Problem solving skills. The ability to identify a problem and resolve it appropriately is critical to resolving potential mistakes.
- Technology knowledge and skills. Using accounting software, spreadsheet programs, and email will be a crucial part of this role.
- Comfortable with communication. Interactions with multiple stakeholders on a daily basis with the capabilities of conveying ideas, concerns and solutions will be needed.
