What You'll Do:
- Establish trusting, collaborative relationships with clients to support job retention and success.
- Provide personalized job coaching, facilitating effective communication between clients, employers, and coworkers.
- Support clients in using various transportation methods to and from their workplaces.
- Assess client skills and proficiency in job tasks, offering targeted coaching and strategies to achieve job stabilization and independence.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation, including job coaching reports and monthly employer timesheets.
- Respect and uphold client confidentiality preferences, particularly regarding the disclosure of personal or disability-related information.
- Collaborate regularly with support teams, family members, and community resources to coordinate comprehensive employment support.
- Encourage clients to consider long-term employment goals, strengths, cultural perspectives, and vocational aspirations.
- Facilitate access to educational resources and further vocational training opportunities for interested clients.
Work Location & Schedule:
- Locations will vary based on client employment sites
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and willingness to travel as needed
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check
- Strong verbal, written communication, basic math, and computer skills
- Physical ability to lift 20 lbs, stand, walk, bend, kneel, sit for prolonged periods, and handle equipment as needed
- Demonstrated flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse individuals
- Interest and willingness to learn more about supporting adults with developmental disabilities
