We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Instructional Designer for a 100% remote opportunity within our IT Learning & Development team. This role is pivotal in designing and developing impactful learning experiences for software deployments, with a strong emphasis on Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) script and material development, followed by job aid and video creation.
As an Instructional Designer, you will:
- Collaborate with business leaders, subject matter experts (SMEs), key stakeholders, program owners, and other learning professionals to define learning objectives and develop comprehensive instructional strategies.
- Primarily focus on developing engaging and effective scripts and materials for Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) sessions for software deployments.
- Secondarily contribute to the creation of concise and user-friendly job aids and informative videos.
- Develop medium to high complexity learning solutions across various modalities, including instructor-led training (ILT & VILT), eLearning modules, performance support tools, and videos, to effectively address identified capability gaps.
- Leverage advanced proficiency in eLearning and/or video development software applications such as Captivate, Camtasia, and Articulate 360 to create interactive and visually appealing content.
- Author original learning content, ensuring alignment with instructional design principles and adult learning best practices.
- Provide consultation and guidance on adult learning methodologies to ensure the effectiveness of learning solutions.
- Mentor junior designers in content design and development methodologies, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
Skills:
- 6-8 years of experience in Instructional Design.
- Advanced proficiency in eLearning and/or video development software applications (e.g., Captivate, Camtasia, Articulate 360 etc.).
- Proven ability to develop engaging and effective Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) scripts and materials.
- Experience in creating clear and concise job aids and instructional videos.
- Strong understanding of instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles, and learning technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely.
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
- A proactive and self-motivated approach to work.
Preferred:
- Experience developing instructional content for software deployments.
- Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS).
- Experience with graphic design principles and visual communication.
- Experience in the healthcare industry
