Duties And Responsibilities :The Industrial Electrician responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following :
Trouble shoot, repair, maintain, and install electrical / electronic systems on the can and end line manufacturing equipmentKnowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs (PLC 5, SLC 500) and programming software to analyze and trouble shoot line control problemsKnowledge of local, state and federal electrical codesDocumentation of manufacturing issues and communication of these issues to the proper individuals both within and outside the facilityMaintenance of all equipment and facility systemsInstallation of new as well as maintaining existing electrical wiring and systems within the facilityInteract closely with the operations team to plan, trouble shoot and analyze production and equipment issues and concerns and come up with solutionsRun quality checks on product in line with customer requirementsCompliance with all OSHA and company safety and electrical regulations including Lock Out Tag Out and Arc Flash protectionPerforms other job-related duties as required or assignedQualifications :In addition to the specific responsibilities listed above, the ideal candidate will possess the following :
Minimum Requirements :
High School Education / GED or equivalent2 year(s) experience in a manufacturing environmentKnowledge of Allen Bradley / Omron / Direct Logic PLCs are required as well as integrated Window software to analyze AC / DC, single phase and 3 phase generators and AC / DC motors, relays, switches, breaker transformers and power panelsKnowledge of single and 3 phase up to 440 voltKnowledge of variable frequency drives and DC drives and ladder logicKnowledge of Human Machine Interfaces (TCP) or Allen Bradley View Plus (a Plus)Experience with proximity and photo sensorsMust be available to work various shifts if needed and be able to work nights, weekends, and overtimePreferred Requirements :
Associates or Bachelor's Degree, or a vocational or technical certification or a journeymans card or licenseHigh-speed packaging industry experienceKnowledge of Six Sigma, SPC, and Lean ManufacturingCompetencies :
Electrical, electronic, pneumatic & mechanical knowledgeStrong problem solving skills through an individual and / or collaborative approachThe ability to be able to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics and parts specifications. Work from manuals, prints, and schematicsAbility to use hand tools, multi-meters Analog & Digital, ammeters, amp probes, etc.Ability to work independently or with a teamMust be able to look at new solutions and think creatively and strategically to solve problemsEffective leadership skills such as conflict resolution, communication, decision making, etc.Demonstrated employee relations skills and the ability to motivate peopleExcellent time management and project management skills as well as the ability to multi-taskExcellent oral and written communication skillsProven math and computer skills and working knowledge of various Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, Access, etc.)Physical Requirements :
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and may be required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlThe associate may lift and / or move up to 50 pounds on occasionSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focusThe employee must be able to work up to twelve (12) hours shifts, both day and eveningEmployees will be required to have their own toolsWorking Conditions :
