Access Vet Care is looking for energetic and compassionate front desk receptionists who want to help guide our clients through the process of accessing veterinary care, and help manage the daily flow of patients for our medical team.
An ideal candidate is great at making autonomous decisions on pacing and flow, can work well with their team, and knows how to prioritize tasks efficiently. Most importantly, we're looking for a candidate who is client-centric: Someone who knows how to manage clients, and who wants to take the time to help clients through financial conversations, stressful and emotional situations, general queries, etc.
Main Job Duties:
Pay: $18.00 per hour

Main Job Duties:
- Check in and register clients and patients
- Manage flow of patients during urgent care
- Answer phones, direct calls, and take messages for medical staff as necessary
- Perform phone triage of patients
- Process prescription requests
- Ensure timely communication with referring veterinarians
- Obtain CPR and Emergency Treatment paperwork
- Create estimates and schedule surgical procedures
- Manage clients when on property (ensure they're following proper safety protocols (e.g. dogs must remain leashed in the lobby), taking over financial conversations for med staff, attend to supplemental questions or concerns)
- Support a friendly and welcoming atmosphere
- Money handling (process payments through electronic medical record system)
- Maintain medical records
- Answer e-mails in a timely fashion
- Other duties as assigned
- Experience in a veterinary office or medical office is a plus!
