What are the responsibilities and job description for the Counselor position at Access Ohio, LLC?
Access Ohio, a leading outpatient community behavioral health agency is hiring passionate and skilled licensed social workers and counselors for our Dayton Outpatient office.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in counseling that includes providing assessment, individual counseling, and case management; will possess strong crisis intervention and problem solving skills; will enjoy a fast paced, high intensity clinical environment; and will be able to provide comprehensive individual, and group therapy.
This is a primarily office-based position. Dependent upon client need the position may require services to be provided to consumers in their homes, shelters, places of employment, vocational and education settings and other community settings.

- Effective communication and written skills are essential
- Great customer service skills
- Highly organized and self-motivated
- Experience understanding and utilizing various evidence-based models and theories pertaining to psycho-education, motivational interviewing, serious mental illness and recovery
- Knowledge of community treatment, family community support services such as NAMI, and community resources
- Proficient in utilizing and adapting to technology such as Microsoft Office, scanning and image transfer and electronic health records.
- Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people and client populations
- Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in a complex environment with multiple priorities.
- *Pay to commensurate with experience or independent licensure
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree with license in Social Work or Counseling preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree with license in Social Work or Counseling will be considered.
- At least one year of experience working with individuals with serious mental illness and/or those with serious mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders preferred.
- LSW, LISW, LISW-S, LPC, LPCC, LPCC-S. LISW is required.
