Summary
We are looking for an Outside “Retail Sales Specialist” to consult with regional Wal-Mart in the greater Kansas City market. Candidates with strong communication, analytic, and problem-solving skills who can present clients’ brands will stand out. You will help identify client needs, present and answer questions about our products and services and recommend solutions. A positive attitude and a desire to promptly resolve potential customer issues or complaints will make you successful in this role. Ultimately, you will ensure that you leave the store satisfied and you will contribute to the store’s profitability and will produce sustainable results that will increase sales volume.
Responsibilities
- Utilize personal vehicle to travel to locations
- Provide accurate information (e.g. Top Items not being sold, merchandising fixtures, competitor innovation)
- Answer customers’ questions about specific products
- Utilize various reports to identify opportunities and gaps in merchandising to ensure modular compliance
- Manage returns of merchandise
- Inform retailers about special offers and upcoming planned promotions
- Drive incremental store level sales by developing relationships at store level
- End caps, clip strips, etc.
- Assist with modular transitions
- Minimize markdowns on deleted items
- Getting new items placed on shelf at initial launch
- Modular product pack-out for applicable departments (82, 95, etc) from top stock and backstock
- Maintain modular positions by checking for all shelf tags and zoning per the store modular
- Maintain/fix shelf pricing tag issues – replace missing tags
- Execute Rollback tags when applicable
- Hang Rollback and New item flags when applicable and available at store
- Product rotation when needed by date codes – oldest product in front of newer product
- Addressing inventory issues in stores by asking stores to take OH Adjustments when applicable
- Audit/Fix any at shelf signing/fixturing opportunities – Walmart or Customer’s fixturing/signing
- Assist store level operations with placement of planned promotions (end caps, half pallets, etc.)
- Provide customer feedback to the Retail Supervisor
- Record visit with mobile retail app
- Sales force integration
- Stay up-to-date with new products/services
- Minimal overnight travel (1-4 nights per month)
- Be able lift up to 50 lbs
