Responsibilities
Provide mentoring and teaching services to individuals with developmental disabilities to help them develop daily living skills such as money handling, socialization, and cooking.
Teach skills identified in the individual's plan, including money management and budgeting, setting personal and professional boundaries, and attending medical and behavioral health appointments.
Assist individuals with hygiene functions and travel to locations assigned for service provision.
Document each training session in the appropriate databases and report progress and barriers with each client.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
Prior experience working with individuals with intellectual developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, or mental health backgrounds.
Strong interpersonal and engagement skills, ability to document services, and understanding of regulations.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
