We are seeking a skilled Life Skills Coach to join our team in the Hudson Valley area. As a Community Habilitation Worker, you will provide skill-building training and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, empowering them to achieve personal outcomes and growth.
You will teach daily living skills such as money handling, socialization, cooking, job search, and more, tailored to each individual's needs and goals. You will also work on valued outcomes with the assigned individual, identifying steps to achieve their goals based on caregivers' and community supports.
Your responsibilities will include providing mentoring services, teaching daily living skills, performing lifting or assisting with hygiene functions when necessary, documenting each training session, and reporting progress and barriers with each client.
If you have prior experience working with related populations and possess strong interpersonal and engagement skills, we encourage you to apply. Bilingual English and Spanish speakers are a plus.
