Our focus is supporting individuals by ways of residential housing, mental health and clinical services, and immersing our participants in community engagement. Working closely with the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities and the Office of Mental Health, we support 27 housing locations and 3 administrative buildings.
About the Role
We are looking for a proactive employee to prepare and maintain financial data, ledgers and schedules following standard accounting procedures set for by the Agency.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing annual cost reports for specific programs
- Monitor spending on contracts and grant funded programs, utilizing excel spreadsheets and the general ledger transactions
- Prepare general journal entries for assigned areas with proper documentation
- Prepare all scheduled and documents for Agency financial audits
- Assist in preparation of the annual Agency budget
Education & Experience
Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field, required. Experience in the accounting field, required. Microsoft Excel, Word, and basic computer skills required. Experience with accounting software (Abilia MIP, MAS90 or QuickBooks) preferred.
Conditions of Employment
Must have a valid NYS driver’s license in accordance with the Agency Vehicle and Driving policy and transportation necessary to meet program needs.
