Interns will work 40h a week, on site in the Chicago office.
Job Summary:
The Structured Finance Internship provides a unique opportunity to collaborate with our finance professionals, develop financial models, and support key investment decisions for wind and solar energy projects. This role offers exposure to project financing and M&A transactions, making it an excellent opportunity for students eager to apply their analytical skills in a dynamic work environment.
Responsibilities:
Help to assist with:
· Assist with development and maintenance of pro forma financial models for wind and solar energy projects with accompanying assumption support and document review
· Prepare project memoranda and presentations for both internal and external audiences for investment approval or capital raise efforts
· Support preparation of due diligence materials, offering materials for debt and tax equity transactions, and documentation of structured or project finance transactions
· Assist with development of valuation models both at project and portfolio level for sell-side and buy-side M&A transactions to project/portfolio valuation, cash flow potential and tax positions
· Maintain letter of credit tracking and maintenance records
· Assist with preparation of monthly operating reports for tax equity investors
Requirements:
· Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering or related discipline.
· MS Excel Experience
· Demonstrated ability for strong analytical skills and attention to detail
· Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all staff throughout the Company and work as a team player
· Fluency in Spanish is a plus but not a must
· Valid driver’s license
Hourly Rate: $18 – $26 per hour (based on years of education and degree)
