We are seeking a highly motivated, hands-on, results-driven Senior Accounting Manager to be a key leader in our rapidly growing team. The ideal candidate must thrive with multi-tasking in a fast-faced, exciting and collaborative environment. This position will report to the CFO of the company. Please note that this is an on-site job located at Smithfield, RI.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare internal financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, including footnote and financial table preparation in accordance with US GAAP.
- Compliance: Monitor and assess the impact of business process changes on the control environment, identify new risk areas, and implement appropriate changes to the SOX compliance program.
- Team Management: Supervise Accounting Associates, manage their workload, and provide training and development.
- Cash Flow Management: Provide cash flow planning, analysis, and project budgeting.
- Tax Coordination: Manage all tax return data, information, and collation.
- Internal Controls: Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with corporate policies and external audits.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or other relevant certifications are preferred.
- Experience: 5-10 years of experience in accounting, with a strong background in financial reporting and compliance.
- Excellent understanding and knowledge of GAAP (revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and accruals); SOX compliance
- High proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite) and financial analysis with Advanced Excel
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize multiple projects with competing priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
- Ability to apply discretion and trust with confidential material
- Forward thinker with strong analytical, problem solving, planning and organizational skills
- Adaptability and enthusiasm for new challenges, innate curiosity and a passion for learning
- A collaborative mindset that is open to giving and receiving ideas, perspectives and feedback
- Must be able to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of management
