Reporting to the Director of Security, the Security Officer is responsible for providing exceptional guest service in a friendly, welcoming and courteous manner as well as providing and maintaining a safe and secure environment for all hotel guests and colleagues.
Rate of Pay : $23.00-24.50 per hour
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Continually demonstrate the Service Principles with every interaction with the guest and your colleagues.
- Help the team and the guest by undertaking other duties and responsibilities that may be requested by you or a manager.
- Maintain a positive service attitude at all times and be willing to help and advise clients with all questions and requests they may have.
- Patrol lobbies, corridors, and public rooms, confer with management, interview guests and employees, and interrogate persons to detect infringements and investigate disturbances, complaints, thefts, vandalism, and accidents.
- Patrol public areas to detect fires, unsafe conditions, and missing or inoperative safety equipment.
- Warn or eject troublemakers, and caution careless persons.
- Obtain assistance for accident victims and write accident reports.
- Assist management and enforcement officers in emergency situations.
- Receive and deliver faxes and packages.
- Help maintain safety of hotel guests and employees by conducting bag checks on all people entering and exiting the hotel through the employee entrance.
- Respond to reports of suspicious behavior or security threats.
- Aid as requested in the special security needs of high profile guests.
- Comply with legal regulations pertaining to Security and law enforcement, and respect confidentiality requirements of the department.
- Other duties as required during shifts to maintain the safety and security of our guests and colleagues.
