The Jefferson in Washington, D.C., is currently recruiting an On-Call Security Officer to join our highly acclaimed and award-winning team.

Responsibilities:
- Knowledgeable of all security equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective security operations
- Assist guests with room access, conducting/ assisting with emergency response drills, daily physical hazard/safety inspections, investigations, and key control audit
- Monitor hotel surveillance cameras and alarm systems
- Assist guests and employees during emergency situations
- Respond to all accidents, contacting EMS or administering Aid/CPR as required
- Gather information to complete reports while maintaining confidentiality
- Defuse disturbances in accordance with hotel policies and procedures
- Provide additional assistance in areas outside of traditional security positions to include Front Office Operations and Engineering
Qualifications:
- Previous relevant Security experience, preferably in a luxury hotel
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with guests, visitors, and hotel staff
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to obtain a certification in CPR and First Aid Training
- The position requires the ability to walk stairs, climb ladders, and conduct security patrols. The ability to lift, bend, push and pull items weighing up to 50 lbs
- Strong guest service experience is necessary
