Title: Sr. Software Engineer - Stibo
Location: Deerfield. IL
Job Summary: The Sr. Software Engineer - Stibo Platform is a strategic role that requires a seasoned professional with deep expertise in Master Data Management (MDM) and data integration technologies. This role is responsible for driving the development, implementation, and maintenance of robust solutions on the Stibo Platform, ensuring that our systems are not only reactive to current needs but also proactively aligned with the latest developments in the MDM space. The ideal candidate will oversee the synchronization of lower environments with Production, maintain platform updates to at least N-1 release, and ensure stringent controls over changes affecting these environments. In addition to technical responsibilities, this role will spearhead the RunOps team operations, ensuring adherence to SLAs and fostering strong relationships with Stibo and other partners. The Sr. Software Engineer will also collaborate with senior engineers and architects to strategize and provide estimates for new initiatives, positioning Walgreens at the forefront of retail technology innovation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field with at least 7 years of hands-on experience in Master Data Management (MDM)
Minimum of 5 years on the Stibo Platform or comparable experience on other MDM platforms totaling 7 years.
Demonstrated capability to stay updated with the latest industry developments and technologies in MDM, applying this knowledge to drive strategic initiatives and platform enhancements.
Extensive experience in the governance of development environments, including maintaining synchronization between lower and production environments, and overseeing platform upgrades to ensure operational excellence and security.
Proven ability to lead and drive the performance of RunOps teams, ensuring compliance with SLAs and effective liaison with external support providers like Stibo.
Strong strategic planning skills, able to work in partnership with other senior technical staff to drive the roadmap for the platform, including detailed estimations and planning for new functionalities.
Expertise in a range of programming languages and MDM relevant technologies such as Java, XML, XSLT, SQL, and APIs is essential.
Exceptional problem-solving abilities and analytical skills, with a track record of anticipating and preemptively addressing challenges in complex MDM implementations.
