Job Description
We are seeking a visionary and experienced Director of Talent & Culture to join our dynamic team in New Orleans, United States. As a key member of our executive leadership, you will be responsible for shaping and driving our organization's talent strategy and cultural initiatives. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on our most valuable asset - our people.
- Develop and implement comprehensive talent management strategies aligned with organizational goals
- Lead and mentor the Talent & Culture team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment
- Design and oversee employee engagement programs to enhance workplace culture and job satisfaction
- Oversee Talent & Culture initiatives, acting as a liaison between corporate office and hotel
- Partner with executive leadership to identify and address organizational talent needs and challenges
- Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, development, and retention strategies
- Develop and manage the department's budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources
- Stay abreast of HR trends and best practices, implementing innovative solutions to drive organizational success
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Lead change management initiatives to support organizational growth and transformation
- Develop and implement performance management systems that drive employee growth and organizational success
- Create and maintain strategic partnerships with educational institutions and industry organizations
Qualifications
- 10 years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management role
- Proven expertise in talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and organizational development
- In-depth knowledge of US labor laws and employment regulations
- Strong strategic planning and execution skills, with the ability to align HR initiatives with business objectives
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of building high-performing teams
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing company-wide HR policies and programs
- Expertise in change management and organizational transformation
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
- SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or similar professional certification strongly preferred
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic organization
- Strong problem-solving skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making
