What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Ops Infrastructure / NOC Manager position at AccountabilIT, LLC?
Position Summary :
The IT Ops Infrastructure / Network Operations Center Manager works directly with clients, vendors, and the entire AccountabilIT technical team. This role is responsible for managing and coordinating the delivery service of the NOC staff. The primary focus of this coordination is to ensure that the NOC runs efficiently and without interruption. The Manager is responsible for ensuring that the (NOC) is staffed 24 X 7, that policies and procedures are followed, and that team member skills are continuously assessed and augmented with training.
Essential Functions :
- Responsible for daily supervision of NOC staff, including development, evaluation, administering disciplinary actions, hiring, promoting or terminating NOC staff
- Supervises NOC staff by defining and establishing schedules, setting priorities, providing support / direction and dealing with administrative issues as required
- Trains NOC staff on operational procedures and manages for compliance of policies and procedures
- Responsible for planning and development of NOC operational procedures and policies
- Responsible for NOC staff training and retention
- Responsible for ensuring the delivery of superior client experience from NOC staff
- Continuously strives to discover ways to increase efficiency through standardization and automation of tools and processes
- Documentation of the easily repeatable tasks to work with internal teams for automation
- Identification of areas of technology where NOC staff could be more involved in resolution
