Job Description :
The Assistant Controller will support the Controller in overseeing the company’s accounting functions and financial reporting processes. Key responsibilities include :
- Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Managing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
- Overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to drive informed business decisions.
- Assisting with financial audits and preparing necessary documentation for internal and external auditors.
- Implementing and improving accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Supporting cash flow management and treasury functions.
- Mentoring and supervising accounting staff to foster professional growth.
- Performing other duties as assigned to support the financial health and strategic goals of the organization.
