Job Description :
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing payroll transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies, and maintaining accurate payroll records. Key responsibilities include :
- Preparing and processing payroll within the payroll accounting transaction cycle.
- Managing garnishments, Affordable Care Act (ACA) tracking, and check writing.
- Ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Maintaining payroll documentation and reconciling accounts on a monthly basis.
- Reviewing bi-weekly payroll reports to verify payroll accuracy, including payroll deductions.
- Assisting with month-end closing processes.
- Supporting the review of federal and state tax returns and W-2s for accuracy and completeness.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
