Probate Paralegal / Legal Assistant
This role involves direct client interaction, assisting with probate proceedings, and managing key administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have a legal background and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

This role involves direct client interaction, assisting with probate proceedings, and managing key administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have a legal background and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate regularly with clients, providing updates on their cases.
- Review and evaluate cases to prepare for attorney review and filings.
- Assist Intake Specialists with managing the intake process.
- Maintain case workflow within the firm’s electronic case management system.
- Draft and send correspondence.
- Support attorneys and senior paralegals with various tasks.
- Document all case-related events and communications accurately.
- Submit invoices in compliance with firm policies.
- Manage deadlines for SOLs and other filings under attorney supervision.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant.
- At least 3 years of probate-specific experience.
- Proficiency in Smart Advocate case management software preferred.
- Experience drafting and filing complaints and pleadings.
- Familiarity with reviewing and summarizing medical records.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
