Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper with experience in QuickBooks to join our team and manage the financial records for multiple small business accounts as well as personal accounts. In this role, you will work closely with the team to maintain accurate accounting records, reconcile accounts, and ensure timely reporting of financial data for various companies and individuals. You will be responsible for processing invoices, managing payroll, tracking expenses, and generating financial reports for both business and personal accounts. The ideal candidate will have experience in QuickBooks, a strong understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work collaboratively in a small business environment while handling multiple business and personal accounts.
Duties
- Manage Financial Records: Maintain accurate financial records for multiple small businesses and personal accounts in QuickBooks.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and other financial records for businesses and personal accounts regularly.
- Process Invoices and Payments: Process and track incoming and outgoing invoices for multiple companies and individuals.
- Payroll Management: Administer payroll for small business employees, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Expense Tracking: Monitor and categorize expenses for businesses and personal accounts, ensuring accuracy and proper allocation.
- Generate Financial Reports: Prepare and deliver financial statements, including balance sheets, profit & loss reports, and tax reports for both business and personal accounts.
- Pay Bills: Ensure timely payment of bills for both business and personal accounts, including utilities, suppliers, and other ongoing expenses.
- Maintain Compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting principles, company policies, and applicable regulations for both businesses and personal accounts.
- Support Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth financial operations and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
- Data Entry & Filing: Maintain accurate records and files for all transactions in both QuickBooks and SharePoint, as required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper, accounting assistant, or in a similar role, preferably with small businesses.
- Hands-on experience managing financial records for multiple companies and personal accounts.
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
- Experience handling payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accuracy across multiple accounts.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Comfortable using cloud-based accounting tools and software for collaboration.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs.
- QuickBooks Certification.
- Bookkeeping or accounting certification.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
