Bookkeeper

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of financial concepts and proficiency in accounting software to support our financial operations effectively.

Duties

• Maintain accurate financial records by recording journal entries and managing accounts receivable.
• Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring adherence to financial plans.
• Utilize accounting software such as Sage and Quicken for efficient financial management.
• Assist in tax preparation and ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards.
• Generate financial reports to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data is captured and reported.
• Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements and other financial accounts.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role, demonstrating knowledge of financial concepts.
• Familiarity with budgeting processes and journal entry preparation.
• Proficient in using accounting software, particularly Sage and Quicken; experience with other financial software is a plus.
• Understanding of tax regulations and governmental accounting practices is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
