Job Summary:
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for importing sales data on a daily basis, managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, overseeing inventory management, and processing payments as needed to support the financial health of the company.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management:
Import sales and customer data to QuickBooks on a daily basis
Record daily financial transactions and reconcile accounts
Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers and reports
Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections
Prepare financial statements, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and financial reporting standards
Collaborate with management to create financial projections and budgets
Conduct periodic audits to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies
Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks) and tools (Excel) to manage financial data efficiently
Communicate with vendors, customers, and financial institutions as needed
Cut checks and process payments as required, ensuring timely disbursement
Inventory Management:
Monitor inventory levels and reconcile stock counts with financial records
Track purchases, usage, and shipments to ensure accuracy in inventory reports
Assist in inventory audits to detect discrepancies and prevent shortages or overstock
Maintain inventory records within accounting software for seamless financial reporting
Work with operations and procurement teams to optimize inventory control strategies
Qualifications and Skills
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role
Experience in inventory management or stock control (preferred)
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Proficiency in accounting software (such as QuickBooks Desktop or similar)
Excellent organizational and analytical skills
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
Experience with computers and excel spreadsheets
Bachelor's or other degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or relevant field (preferred but not required)
