Current Available Shifts: HIRING IMMEDIATELY

* Mondays 5PM-11PM

* Tuesdays 5PM-11PM

* Every other Thursday 5PM-11PM

* Every other Saturday & Sunday 9AM-4PM

* Every other Saturday & Sunday 4PM-11PM (opposite weekend)

* Fill-in coverage: Any Shifts M-F 8 AM - 11PM, Weekends 9AM-11PM

Wage $20-22.50 per hour

Work in a private home in Mankato near the Hospital, pet-friendly home (2 large dogs). Employed and managed by client through Accra Care INC.

Adult female with a spinal cord injury requiring full assistance with activities of daily living in a private and relaxed home environment. Requires care 365 days/year, this includes inclement weather, Holidays, and weekends. Female caregivers preferred.

This job is ideal for a self-motivated caregiver seeking to provide care in a one-on-one position. Escape the hectic setting of a hospital or nursing home. Downtime to work on homework or do other activities between cares is welcome during times when client’s needs are met. Some days are jam-packed busy while others are slow. Looking for caregivers comfortable with that balance and can identify when personal activities are appropriate.

Job Entry Requirements

* Valid drivers’ license and good driving record

o Ability to commute to Mankato, MN in all seasonal weather conditions

* Must pass MN State Background Check

* Prefers currently vaccinated applicants also willing to receive seasonal vaccinations (influenza, Covid-19) due to Client's compromised respiratory system

Caregiver Responsibilities

* Transfer with in-home ceiling lift (transfer board when necessary)

* Able to lift 25 lbs using proper body mechanics

* Fully assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, bladder/bowel management, and additional personal cares

* PT exercises/range of motion/stretching

* Ensure that medications are taken on time

* Prepare meals/snacks with client's guidance and assist client with eating

* Assist with shopping for groceries and other items (necessities & fun)

* Housekeeping - Maintain a clean and neat environment

* Laundry

* Support with hobbies, organization, and social activities

* Companionship and emotional support

* Transport client in client-provided wheelchair accessible van

* One Month Resignation Notice Required for Positive Future Reference

* $200 stipend (bonus) for use of personal electronics to clock hours upon employment

* Employees can independently earn an Enhanced Pay Rate and an opportunity for a $500 bonus (Resources and Time Allotment Pending). Complete continuing education through the Minnesota Department of Human Resources. **Active CNAs and/or CPR certification satisfy some continuing education requirements.
