About the role
Our Head of BizOps will report to the CEO and will serve an instrumental role in helping Accrue and its CEO achieve their goals. This role has a broad remit for a self-starter and natural problem-solver who is an expert in organizational dynamics and is at ease with ambiguity. Successful candidates will meld their EQ, humility, business acumen, and structured strategic thinking to provide leverage to the CEO and executive team in order to grow the business. This job’s working habits mirror those of the CEO: you should expect to feel like an owner in the business and work closely with leadership, oftentimes off-hours if required.
What You’ll Do
- Support the CEO and CFO with investor relations, business reporting and board material
- Support CEO on key initiatives and strategic projects
- Own FP&A function and manage third-party bookkeepers for monthly close
- Operate and improve financial model to develop a reporting framework for KPIs across the business
- Build and scale our sales ops function by owning the CRM and pipeline
- Support the sales team and strategic deals across pricing and packaging, value engineering, and implementation standpoints
- Serve as a resource in leading cross-functional projects within the company
- Serve as a thought leader for the company and CEO, developing insightful public-facing content and presentations
- Support CEO with content marketing and social media
- Support CEO with internal and external communications and organizational improvement
- Build and refine product and company positioning through first- and third- party client and market research
- Coordinate operational, legal, FP&A, and other foundational components of supporting Accrue
What You Will Need
- Communications Skill: you are able to communicate in a crisp, structured manner in both written and verbal communications as a representative of the CEO, including being comfortable communicating with slides and in long form (PRFAQ style).
- Deep Analytical Acumen: you have prior experience in banking, consulting, or a similarly rigorous analytical role is required. Candidates should be comfortable modeling with financial data and analysis.
- Thrives in Ambiguity: you are a self-starter who consistently re-evaluate their own responsibilities and reprioritizes based on your assessment of what the company needs most.
- Strategic Systems Thinking: you bring to our business execution an informed strategic perspective informed by experience.
- Detail Orientation with a Commitment to Follow-Through: you are capable of owning projects end-to-end and are responsible for all follow-through.

What We'd Love To See
- Experience in banking, consulting, or a similarly rigorous analytical role is required
- Prior experience in scaling an early stage start-up and working with VCs is preferred
- B2B software or payments experience is preferred but not required

Salary Information
The range listed below is just one component of Accrue's total compensation package; This role will receive a competitive salary benefits equity. The salary range is for US-based employees located in the listed market. Other benefits include those listed above such as healthcare and 401 with 3% contribution.
