- Perform comprehensive analysis of manufacturing costs, including direct labor, raw materials, overhead, and indirect expenses.
- Develop and maintain detailed financial models to analyze the impact of production volumes, product mix, and pricing strategies on overall profitability.
- Conduct break-even analysis, margin analysis, and sensitivity analysis to production decisions.
- Ensure accuracy of financial reporting while assisting with month-end and year-end close.
- Assist in the development of rolling forecasts that reflect the dynamic nature of manufacturing operations, incorporating key variables such as market demand, production capacity, and supply chain constraints.
- Utilize budgets, scenario planning, and what-if analysis to evaluate the financial implications of potential business decisions, such as entering new markets, launching new products, or expanding production capacity.
- Provide strategic financial guidance on capital investment projects, including long-term ROI analysis, payback period, and risk assessment.
- Assist in the development of financial reporting tools and dashboards that provide real-time insights into manufacturing performance.
- Regularly monitor financial results and forward-looking analyses to senior management, highlighting key drivers of profitability and areas requiring attention.
- Analyze the monthly operational metrics to the monthly financials to properly interpret what is happening in the business.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An advanced degree (e.g., MBA) or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA, CIMA) is a plus but not required.
- 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, with a focus on forward-looking financial planning and strategic decision support, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis, with proficiency in tools like Excel, SAP, Tableau, Power BI etc.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of effectively conveying financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders and senior management.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Familiarity with SAP, Tableau and other excel based analytical tools.
