About the opportunity
As a Master Production Scheduler, you will manage and optimize the production schedule of our injection molding facility, to meet customer demand and ensure on-time delivery. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data, forecast demand, and create a feasible production plan. Your role will be crucial in maintaining an efficient and effective production process.
You will work on-site at our largest manufacturing facility in Charlotte, NC, reporting directly to our Vice President of Materials and Logistics.
In this role, you will play a vital part in keeping production running smoothly by ensuring materials and resources are available when needed, minimizing downtime, and maximizing efficiency. You'll work closely with stakeholders to address scheduling conflicts and make necessary adjustments to adapt to changing demand.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the production schedule to align with customer demand and resource availability.
- Analyze production data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and enhance scheduling efficiency.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination and resolve any scheduling conflicts.
- Track production progress, proactively addressing delays or issues to keep operations on schedule.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to secure timely delivery of materials.
- Continuously refine the scheduling process to boost efficiency and reduce costs.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as needed
What We Require:
- 2 years of experience in production scheduling or related field
- Bachelor's degree or combination of previous experience in manufacturing production and logistics coordination.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.
