Accu Reference Medical Lab is seeking a skilled Hematology Laboratory Director to lead our specialty department section. The ideal candidate will have a Master of Science Degree in Medical Technology or a related field and at least four years of work experience.
The successful incumbent will be responsible for the accuracy and reliability of all laboratory services provided by the specialty department section under their control. They will direct the supervision, training, and development of section personnel, plan and schedule activities, and ensure the proper application of laboratory policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities include providing day-to-day supervision, attending laboratory management meetings, informing employees of pertinent information, and ensuring technical personnel are responsive to client inquiries. The director will also prepare work schedules, assign and prioritize work to staff, and monitor the use of equipment and reagents.
Requirements:
- Master of Science Degree in Medical Technology or a related field with at least four years of work experience;
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related field with at least six years of work experience;
- Two to three years' successful experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity preferred.
