Experienced Caregivers- MUST LOVE DOGS!!

AccuCare Home Health Care of St. Louis has been serving the St. Louis area for 30 years. We have a wonderful team of friendly and supportive employees, many of whom have been with the company for years. The ideal candidate is dependable, people-oriented, adaptable and detail-oriented. In addition to caring for the client, the ideal candidate will be willing to walk the client's dog for them on a daily basis.

We are looking for an experienced Caregiver with a minimum of 5 years of experience with ability to work with a variety of clients with needs of walking a dog to assisting with a shower. Ideal candidate must like cats and dogs and wiling to walk at least 10,000 steps a day. The shift would be mostly days 7:30 AM to 2PM with one-day weekend requirement. Also, MUST have a vehicle.

CAREGIVER PAY: $20 per hour (Weekly Pay, Paid-Time-Off (PTO) Program, Paid Training & Bonuses, and MORE) 

CAREGIVER PERSONAL CARE SERVICES

• Grooming, including oral care for client
• Assist with shower
• Assist the resident with dressing and undressing
• Apply and remove Ted hose
• Assist with active and passive range of motion
• Assist the resident with toileting activities
• Assist in feeding the resident, if necessary
• Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure)
• Other duties as assigned and approved by AccuCare

CAREGIVER HOSPITALITY APPROACH

• Greet residents, facility staff, and co-workers with a SMILE, always.
• Find ways to exceed resident expectations every time (be friendly, kind, gracious, patient.)
• Anticipate the resident needs, “don’t wait, do.”
• Ability to manage time effectively to ensure timeliness and graceful exit from resident services.
• Ability to memorize resident’s names and recognize throughout the day.

Caregiver Education/Certification Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of five (5) years of documented experience required in health care industry
• Certified in CPR

Caregiver Skills/Qualifications Requirements:

• Reliable Transportation
• MUST HAVE Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
• Ability to pass the background check
• Ability to be calm in stressful situations
• Self-directed; able to work successfully with little direct supervision; equally able to work successfully as a team member
• Ability to interact with adverse, and sometimes difficult residents and/or family

MUST BE PET FRIENDLY!! MUST BE WILLING TO WALK DOGS IN ALL WEATHER CONDITIONS. 

DOG WALKING  SERVICES 

The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals, experience with dogs, and a high level of responsibility. 

Responsibilities:
- Walk dogs of various breeds and sizes in all weather conditions
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the dogs under your care
- Follow specific instructions provided by dog owners regarding routes, feeding, and any special requirements
- Manage multiple dogs effectively

Skills:
- Experience in dog handling, animal care, or pet sitting
- Ability to handle different breeds with varying temperaments
