**2nd Shift: 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Monday-Friday**
Summary: The Mold Setter is responsible for the safe and accurate installation and removal of molds from injection molding machines. This includes the installation and changeover of all associated auxiliary equipment and set up.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safely install plastic injection molds and remove them from the injection molding machines.
- Install necessary water lines, knockout bars, hydraulic lines, air lines, switches, hoppers, dryers, conveyors, and auxiliary equipment.
- Follow and complete Accudyn Set-up form MF02-07G.
- Utilize and understand automation equipment.
- Maintain order of the mold storage area and housekeeping practices within the molding department.
- Keep the set-up supply room organized and reorder set-up supplies as needed.
- Record any changes to process and water diagram and complete press cleaning upon completion.
- Keep clamps, bolts, washers, and knockouts organized at the press location.
- May be assigned additional tasks and/or special projects.

Education and Experience
- High school education or GED
- Two years’ experience in the plastics industry or advance from within
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Forklift certification (company provided training)
- Overhead crane operation (company provided training)
Other Skills and Abilities
- Operation of stand-up and sit-down forklift truck.
- Comprehension of hydraulic core systems.
- Must have mechanical aptitude and the ability to use hand and power tools.
- Fundamental knowledge of the different plastic materials and their processing.
- Ability to follow and understand written and verbal instructions.
- Self-motivated and performs essential responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- Ability to communicate with co-workers and management both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic math and solve practical problems that arise on the job.
- Intermediate computer operation with proper instruction.

Work Environment
Noise levels represent standard mild factory environment, falling below OSHA action levels for required hearing conservation programs. PPE available upon request and for any required designated areas, including safety glasses.
