Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchasing Manager to join our team. The Purchasing Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of procurement, from negotiating contracts to ensuring timely delivery of goods. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purchasing and a keen eye for cost savings.
Duties:
- Manage the entire procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating contracts, and evaluating suppliers.
- Utilize ERP and other systems to track inventory levels and ensure that orders are fulfilled in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to optimize delivery routes and reduce costs.
- Analyze prices and negotiate the best deals with suppliers.
- Develop and implement purchasing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Manage inventory levels to minimize waste and ensure that stock is always at optimal levels.
- Work closely with the inventory control team to ensure that stock levels are accurate and up-to-date.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and manage supplier relationships to ensure long-term agreements.
- Keep track of PO's to ensure they are being delivered on a timely basis.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure that their needs are met and that the company receives the best possible service.
Skills:
- Strong experience in purchasing and procurement.
- Excellent negotiation skills and ability to negotiate contracts with suppliers.
- Experience with Epicor P21 preferred.
- Experience with Medical Distribution preferred.
- Experience with inventory control and logistics.
- Strong supplier management skills and ability to manage relationships with suppliers.
- Experience with contract negotiation and ability to negotiate long-term agreements.
- Proficiency with SAP and other procurement systems.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to monitor and report on purchasing metrics.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
