Door Shop Foreman

Job Summary
The Shop Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing daily operations within the shop, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This position requires strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of the operations of a door shop and terminology of interior and exterior doors along with supervisor experience . The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and training a team of skilled workers, coordinating project timelines, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead shop personnel in daily operations to ensure productivity and quality standards are met.
• Review and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documents to guide project execution.
• Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of workmanship throughout all projects.
• Conduct regular inspections of work in progress to ensure compliance with contracts and specifications.
• Train and mentor team members on best practices, safety protocols, and equipment usage.
• Foster a collaborative work environment that encourages communication and teamwork among staff.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within the construction industry or related field.
• Strong knowledge of the construction of an Interior and exterior pre-hung doors
• Proficiency in using construction management tools along with strong computer skills.
• Familiarity with quality control processes and techniques in a shop environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications accurately.
• Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make decisions under pressure.
• Effective communication skills to liaise with team members, management, and clients as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
