The Assistant Project Manager plays a vital role in supporting the Project Managers in ensuring smooth and efficient day-to-day operations of the new construction department. The Assistant Project Manager helps maintain and build strong relationships with clients and updates the Servman system for effective project management. They facilitate clear and concise communication between the Field Manager, Project Engineer, and other stakeholders.
Duties & responsibilities:
· Support the Project Manager in overseeing the entire New Construction department.
· Ensure all processes are running smoothly and efficiently under the guidance of the Project Manager.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for builders, providing prompt and professional communication.
· Maintain constant communication with clients, addressing any concerns or inquiries and providing updates on project progress.
· Assist in handling and approving all change orders, ensuring they are properly documented and implemented.
· Collaborate with the Project Manager in approving all project-related purchases, adhering to budgetary constraints and procurement policies.
· Assist in overseeing the overall process for all New Construction jobs, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, and client requirements.
· Stay updated on the timelines and status of each job, providing regular updates to the Project Manager and relevant stakeholders.
· Assist in setting and approving schedules for the construction projects, taking into account resource availability and project requirements.
· Attend daily New Construction meetings, actively participating and providing valuable input to drive project success.
Skills Required
· 2 years of experience in project management or as an administrative assistant
· Construction Knowledge and ability to read blue prints.
· Proficient in Microsoft Suite and other management software
· Organized and detail-oriented
· Excels in a high-paced work environment
· Strong communication skills both oral and written
· Ability to multi-task effectively
· Focused and supportive to management at all times
· Self-starter who works well independently
· Adaptable and calm under pressure
· Expert problem solver
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
