What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bilingual Referral Coordinator position at ACE Eyecare Inc?
We are looking for a Bilingual Referral Coordinator for our busy Ophthalmology Office. The ideal candidate will have a friendly personality while being perceptive and disciplined. A customer oriented approach is essential as our goal is to make patients feel comfortable and valued.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Process all incoming and outgoing referrals and schedule appointments appropriately based on referral and authorization information
- Answers all authorization inquiries in a professional and positive manner ensuring that all information given is accurate
- Receives calls from providers or places calls to providers for additional information on authorization requests
- Place calls to Members regarding authorization outcome and appointment information.
- Ensuring specialty reports are tasked to appropriate provider for review
- Send all correspondence and consult notes to referring Provider
- Other duties as assigned
As team members, staff will be cross trained to help assist in other departments when needed.
Requirements:Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience and/or knowledge of authorization and referral processes preferred
- Ability to professionally communicate with patients, employees and others both on phone and in person.
- Ability to use basic office equipment, such as: computer, scanner, facsimile machine, telephone, credit card machine, photocopier.
- Efficient in typing
- Excellent in customer service
- Ability to multi task and prioritize
- Working knowledge of computer systems
- Bilingual English/Spanish
