Job Description
All applicants must have at least 1 year of successful supervisor / management experience, at least 1 year of retail experience and possess a strong work ethic with effective leadership skills.
Job Purpose
Assist customers to the fullest extent of your abilities. There is no problem that we as a team cannot solve through the services we provide, the information we possess, and the experience we have accrued. Supervisors are required to contribute to the vast body of skills and expertise to the best of their abilities, while striving to learn more. Treat each customer as we would a guest in your own home. Remember, without customers we would not be in business. Supervisors are leading, coaching and managing associates, involved with activities in the front and back end of our store which include check-out areas, returns, and special services.
Job Tasks
In addition to Sale Associate descriptions, supervisors will be held responsible for the following:
- Ensure overall customer satisfaction.
- Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions.
- Manage daily floor coverage (lunches, coordinator, closing duties, etc.).
- Ensure daily opening and closing procedures are fulfilled.
- Ensure team members are maintaining stocking levels and departmental upkeep.
- Responsible for execution of store presentation standards.
- Respond to priority calls (point of sale approvals, customer service, etc..).
- Place special orders or call other stores to find desired items.
- Ensuring safety for all customers, oneself, and coworkers.
- Handling customer complaints/concerns/complements and relaying to Managers.
- Ensure that sales floor is clear, organized, and properly signed, and free of trash and debris.
- Ensure proper training of associates on store policies and procedures.
- Be involved with each employees continued training of all store services.
- Delegate daily workload among associates.
- Hold associates accountable for work performance.
- Enforce policies and procedures.
- Ensuring the store is recovered and ready for business every day.
- Instill team work within.
- Be a "Leader" not a "Boss".
- Take initiative.
