Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while providing excellent customer service. Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks and vans, to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload items from the vehicle, ensuring that all products are handled with care.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules while maintaining timely deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
- Complete necessary paperwork for each delivery, including logs of mileage and delivery confirmations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation.
- Assist in warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organization.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients.
- Familiarity with route driving and navigation systems.
- Experience operating commercial vehicles; forklift experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy packages and perform physical tasks associated with moving goods.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations is beneficial.
- Excellent time management skills and reliability in meeting deadlines.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
