Job description for Pharmacy Technician:
The Medical Associates Plus (MAP) is seeking a full-time experienced Pharmacy Driver for one of its locations in the Augusta area to manage and oversee the daily operations of ensuring cost-effective operations in accordance with all legal, compliance and regulatory requirements, and programs. This position will have the potential to grow within the company. MAP is looking for a positive person who is interested in being successful and help take the company to the next level of service. The seasoned professional an innovative, responsible, and trustworthy individual to fill the position of Pharmacy Driver. This role supports pharmacy services by making adherence calls and re-capture calls, stocking, assembling, coordinating, dispensing medications, and reviewing and coordinating accurate and timely delivery to the customer.

Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED
- Completion of a formal education program that meets requirements for certification.
- Licensed by the Georgia State Board of Pharmacy.
- Completion of the national certification exam (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board)
- Valid Driving License with good standing with no offence and clean records without any traffic citation tickets
Responsibilities:
- Helps health care providers and patients by greeting them in-person and over the phone, answering questions and requests, and referring inquiries to the pharmacist.
- Adhering to FQHC requirements by checking the patient’s eligibility for 340B drugs.
- Checking Medicaid patients and collecting the right information and co-pay.
- Maintains pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed medications and supplies, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipt, and removing outdated drugs.
- Maintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
- Organizes medications for pharmacists to dispense by reading medication orders and prescriptions, preparing labels, calculating quantities, assembling intravenous solutions, and other pharmaceutical therapies.
- Maintains records by recording and filing physicians' orders and prescriptions.
- Ensures medication availability by delivering medications to patients and departments.
- Completes patient refill reminder calls.
- Makes calls to introduce pharmacy services to clinic patients.
- Resolves outstanding prescription issues for various satellite locations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
