Description
Ensure each customer receives outstanding service
Familiarize yourself with all promotions and advertisements.
Execute the daily operational, day-to-day goals and priorities assigned by store leadership
Assist in the training and development of peers
Uphold merchandising and store cleanliness standards/daily lists (including but not limited to facing)
Participate in the processing of new shipments and help the team to keep the receiving and back stock area clean, worked and organized (including but not limited to working backstock, up stock, etc.)
Be responsive to safety issues
Remain conscious of shoplifting activity
Aid customers in locating and explaining merchandise in store, on acehardware.com/special orders
Answer customers’ questions to the fullest and provide information on procedures and policies
Maintain the ability to perform cashier functions
Be able to operate a forklift (if needed) and pallet jack safely and efficientl
Qualifications
The minimum requirements for this position include:
Education/Training: Completed Sophomore year in High School or later. Possess product knowledge of hardware related products along with a willingness to learn.
Experience: Sales experience with retail programs, establishing relationships and working with customers
Previous experience in a retail environment, preferably sales
Skills/Knowledge: Knowledge of retail computer systems, MS Word and Excel helpful but not mandatory
A commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction
Solid team player with excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills, exceptional organizational ability, high attention to detail, and ability to multitask
Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business
Salary : $20 - $24
