Home Staging Repair Specialist

Job Description :

As a Home Staging Repair Specialist, you will play a crucial role in preparing homes for sale by combining your artistic skills with your expertise in repairs and restoration. Your responsibilities will encompass a broad range of tasks, from performing essential repairs and maintaining inventory quality to Identify and implementing solution-oriented strategies to help the logistics and warehouse teams operate more efficiently Additionally, you will assist the warehouse and logistics teams in organizing and managing staging items, proactively identifying and addressing damaged or less than pristine items throughout the warehouse, and ensuring repaired items are returned to their proper locations. A flexible schedule is essential, as your work hours will be based on the needs of the business.

Key Responsibilities :

Case Goods Repair : Repair and restore case goods, including cabinets, dressers, and tables, ensuring they are in excellent condition and visually appealing.

Upholstery : Assess and repair upholstery on furniture to ensure that all pieces look fresh and well-maintained.

Art and Frames : Handle the repair and restoration of artwork and frames.

Drywall Repair : Patch and repair drywall, addressing any damage or imperfections to create a flawless finish that enhances the overall presentation of the property.

Hardwood Floors : Repair hardwood floors, addressing scratches, dents, and other damage to restore their original condition, to the best of your ability.

Quality Control of Inventory : Regularly inspect and manage the quality of inventory, including furniture and art pieces. Ensure all items are in good condition and ready for staging.

Touch-Up and Maintenance : Perform touch-ups and routine maintenance on staging items and repaired pieces to keep them in great condition. Address any minor repairs or cosmetic issues on items being staged for delivery.

Warehouse and Logistics Support : Assist the warehouse and logistics team with locating and organizing furniture and staging items in the bay. Ensure items are arranged in a manner that facilitates easy inspection and touch-up work.

Proactive Damage Identification : Actively monitor and inspect items throughout the warehouse for any signs of damage. Address any issues promptly to maintain the overall quality and readiness of inventory.

Return of Repaired Items : Once items have been repaired, assist the warehouse team with returning them to their proper locations. Ensure items are placed correctly and in a manner that maintains organization and accessibility.

Quality Control : Conduct thorough inspections to ensure all repairs and staging elements meet our high standards of quality and aesthetic appeal.

Collaboration : Work closely with the staging team, designers, project managers, and warehouse staff to ensure that all aspects of the staging and repair process are executed seamlessly and on schedule.

Flexible Scheduling : Maintain a flexible schedule based on the needs of the business. Be prepared to adapt to varying job demands and project timelines as required.

Qualifications :

Proven experience in home staging, artistic design, and various repair tasks including case goods, upholstery, art and frames, drywall, and hardwood floors.

Strong artistic sense and an eye for detail, with the ability to create visually appealing arrangements and enhancements.

Proficient in the use of tools and techniques for furniture repair, upholstery, drywall patching, and hardwood floor restoration.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Proactive mindset with a keen eye for detail, especially in identifying and addressing damage in warehouse inventory.

Good communication skills and a professional demeanor.

A portfolio showcasing previous work in home staging, repairs, or related fields is highly desirable.

Physical Requirements :

Ability to lift and move furniture and equipment as needed.

Capability to work on ladders, kneel, and perform other physical tasks associated with home staging and repair work.

Experience :

Minimum 2 years experience in furniture, flooring, drywall and art repair.
