Project Manager (Marketing) Job Summary
The Project Manager position is a critical support level position that requires the individual to be result oriented. This individual will support the company vision and Marketing Manager’s corporate sales goals down to the day-to-day completion of marketing related tasks. Success in this position is achieved by integrating and supporting the Senior Project Manager, aligning with the goals to achieve annual sales and revenue objectives. This position is typically fast paced and requires a high level of organizational and task driven abilities.
The position will focus on acquiring Special Inspections & Materials Testing Contracts in the Northern
California Market.
Project Manager achieves marketing and sales operational objectives by implementing efforts focused on marketing and sales information, completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, and quality; resolving problems; implementing system improvements; embracing change.
Project Manager Responsibilities and Duties
- Implement department objectives to achieve corporate revenue goals and corporate sales goals.
These goals are used in forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions; projecting expected sales volume to align with revenue trends and goals; monitoring competition, lost opportunities and making recommendations to adjust to both market and competition impacts.
- Accomplish marketing and sales objectives by working with the Senior Project Manager and
Senior Management to track proposal opportunities, plan proposal timelines, put together proposals, issue them within deadlines and track results of submitted proposals.
- Identifies marketing opportunities by identifying projects; defining markets, tracking competitor's results and assists in recommending overcoming competitor's strengths and weaknesses.
- Improves company marketability and coverage of opportunities by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities; improving proposal packaging; coordinating new proposal development. Finding proposals opportunities include researching, utilizing lead generating services, contacting project decision makers and developing relationships with prospective clients.
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Accomplishes marketing mission by supporting and completing proposal development activities.
- Provides support where needed to support the company and team members. Management may request support on tasks not directly related to your assigned position.
Project Manager Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or related field preferred (2 years of experience equals 1 year of college)
- If individual does not have a college degree, they need to demonstrate strong marketing skills, the ability to work in a team environment and provide examples where they manage a variety of challenges through organizational skills and problem-solving capabilities.
- At least some marketing and/or sales experience. Comfortable talking with prospective clients or individuals who can direct you to project decision makers.
- Ability to accomplish goals regardless of deadlines and multitasking requirements. Full-time position may require working evening and weekends depending on production schedules and due dates.
- EXCELLENT communication and team supporting skills including schedules deadlines.
- Team player, organized, solid management skills and result driven. Able to promote company culture in a team environment.
- Familiarity with online content marketing and social media development strategies would be a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Products, Tracking Systems, CRM Solutions and Desktop Design programs.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
