Position Summary:  The Local Dispatcher is responsible for scheduling and dispatching crews, equipment or vehicles locally according to customer requests, specifications or needs to ensure timely and efficient completion of all orders in a fast-paced and changing environment.

Priorities: 
•    Prepare and monitor daily schedules
•    Relay shipment orders, messages and information to or from work crews, supervisors and quality control
•    Working with household goods, International and Commercial shipments
•    Hands-on coordination with and supporting drivers, packers, loaders for local and long-distance moves
•    Develop working relationships with other agents to produce backhaul shipments and SIT 
•    Address questions, problems and requests for service or equipment
•    Adhere to maintenance and safety programs
•    Monitor quality assurance and timeliness of crews

The pay range is $65,000 - $75,000 annual equivalent. Starting pay rate will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, qualifications, and the terms of any applicable agreement. Dependent on the length of service, hours worked, and applicable agreements, benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and optional disability insurance, sick pay of 2.66 hours for every 80 hours worked, Vacation pay of 3.08 hours for every 80 hours worked, paid holidays (6 days annually), three personal days (prorated based on start date), bereavement pay and retirement benefits.  The Dispatcher position is considered safety sensitive and will be subject to the company's random drug test program.

Qualifications

• Technology Skills:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook.

  Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities): The following are required to enable job holders to perform the essential functions of the job

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• At least 2 years of related experience
• Ability to foster teamwork
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize
