Job Summary:
AceTex Group is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This role is responsible for managing and overseeing daily accounting operations, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and providing insightful financial analysis to support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee general accounting functions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconciling company bank accounts.
- Reconciling and analyzing accounts all other balance sheet accounts.
- Filing various state sales tax returns.
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data to provide financial insights and recommendations.
- Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation for audits.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities to support financial planning.
- Develop and improve internal controls, policies, and accounting procedures.
- Support special projects and process improvements within the finance department.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or accounting. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting setting.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
