The Vice President of Early Learning will lead the design, implementation, innovation, and evaluation of our comprehensive early learning and development framework and model. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of early childhood education, a passion for equity and inclusivity, and a proven track record of designing effective and transformative early learning programs. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Leads the development and execution of a comprehensive early learning and development model that aligns with our organization's mission and values, ensuring continuity of learning experiences from birth to age five. Innovation and Improvement: Continuously innovates and refines the early learning model based on the latest research, best practices, and emerging trends in the field. Drives a culture of continuous improvement that enhances program effectiveness and child outcomes. Equity-Centered Design: Infuses equity, diversity, and inclusion principles into all aspects of the early learning framework, ensuring that all children, families, and communities are represented and served equitably. Collaboration: Collaborates with internal teams, partner organizations, educational experts, and stakeholders to ensure a holistic and collaborative approach to program development and delivery. Program Implementation: Oversees the implementation of the early learning framework across our direct services Head Start unit and partner organizations, ensuring fidelity to the model while accommodating individualized needs. Professional Learning: Collaborates with the Professional Learning and Program Services teams in support of a diverse team of early childhood educators, coaches, and specialists. Supports their professional development and creates an environment that fosters growth and collaboration. Continuous Improvement: Collaborates with the Implementation team to design, implement and improve programmatic efforts within an equity and human-centered co-design framework. Research and Evaluation: Collaborates with the Impact team to assess the impact of the early learning model on children's development, family engagement, and community outcomes. Utilizes data-driven insights to refine and enhance the early learning model. External Engagement: Represents the organization in national and regional forums, advocating for evidence-based early learning practices and building strategic partnerships to advance our mission. Resource Allocation: Collaborates with the leadership team to allocate resources effectively, ensuring the sustainable growth and success of the early learning programs. Reporting and Communication: Provides regular reports to the executive leadership team, board members, and stakeholders on program outcomes, achievements, and areas for improvement. Contributing to Acelero, Inc. Community of Practice Demonstrates leadership in alignment of work and approach to company vision, mission, core values and the advancement of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging Serves as an active member of both the PII (Program, Implementation, and Impact Services) and Acelero Shine leadership teams Communicates department goals and progress frequently and effectively with the program team, executive leadership, business unit leaders, and other appropriate internal and external stakeholders Partners in cross-network communications and development activities to advance Acelero’s strategic priorities Serves as an industry thought leader on program-related topics through conference presentations, articles, and professional or scientific publications. Participates in assigned meetings, events, and training as required. Supervision Supervises assigned department personnel. Includes the following responsibilities, but are not limited to: hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and the completion of all work performed by direct reports. Educates direct reports on all department and company policies and procedures. Meets with assigned staff regularly to identify and resolve problems, manage projects, track goals, and review work processes and procedures. Represents team and/or department at meetings, events, and training as required. Non-Essential Duties: Performs any and all other duties (or functions) as assigned. Job Requirements: Master’s or doctoral degree in early childhood education, child development, educational leadership, or a related field. Extensive experience (10 years) in designing, implementing, and evaluating early childhood education programs, preferably on a national scale. Strong understanding of early childhood development theories, evidence-based practices, and the latest trends in the field for children between the ages of birth to five years old. At least two (2) continuous years of experience in supervision. Proven track record of fostering equity, diversity, and inclusion within early learning programs. Collaborative mindset and experience working with diverse stakeholders, including partner organizations, families, educators, and policymakers. Familiarity with federal early childhood education policies, particularly related to Head Start, is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement in early learning programs. Physical exam and background checks are required for this position. Travel required locally or long-distance up to 30% of the time for work-related meetings and functions. Must have a valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation. Salary Range. $114,165 - $154,122 Travel/Location. Remote position and flexible. Travel up to 30%.
