Position Summary:
The position reports to the Head of Biometrics and Portfolio Management and will work closely with Program Team Leaders to drive the development and execution of high quality, global, integrated cross-functional program plans that enable overall program strategy. Scientific competency and drug development knowledge is essential for this role to interact with the cross functional stakeholders, contribute to drug development strategy and be able to eventually translate the strategy into execution. The role is also involved in contributing to ACELYRIN’s growth through championing organizational initiatives as necessary.

Responsibilities:
- Accountable for managing all program timelines, dashboards and tracking deliverables
- Drive program decision making process and coordinate with the team or functions to identify and resolve program or resource issues
- Guide program teams through development stages, while ensuring transparent, cross functional communication of program progress
- Collaborate with program teams to develop strategy, and identify key program goals
- Monitor scheduling or resourcing issues and opportunities and recommend activities prioritization
- Coordinate regular program team meetings, including escalation of key issues, setting clear agendas, and communication of minutes
- Ensure timely upkeep of program strategy documents through development changes and strategic shifts
- Develop risk management plans and regularly valuate and communicate the probability and impact of risks to program deliverables
- Ensure the implementation of effective processes to enable team, functions and organizational efficiencies
- Support program budget development, tracking and variance management
- As necessary, challenge teams by providing disconfirming information and encourage innovative problem solving
- Partnering with program teams and functions to identify and contribute to departmental process improvements & organizational initiatives
- Communicate program updates and issues to manager.
- B.S. degree or higher in life sciences or related disciplines
- Minimum 12 years’ experience within the Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, or other Healthcare related field, with minimum 5 years in direct drug development project management
- Solid understanding of all aspects of drug development and commercialization
- Extensive project management experience for therapies in Phase 3 Clinical Development including regulatory submission
- Proficient in project management principles and tools including MS Project, Smartsheet, Planisware
- Self-motivated and highly flexible individual who is able to manage multiple tasks, and priorities within a fast-paced environment with minimal oversight
- Demonstrated ability to influence without authority
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skills
- Independent, motivated, team member with experience in a matrix environment
- Direct experience in ophthalmology and inflammation therapy areas is a plus
- End-to-end experience in managing organizational initiatives will be advantageous
