We are growing and have an immediate opportunity for a Assistant Maintenance Manager in our Alexandria, VA location (Eaton Square Apartments - 414 units).
Main responsibilities:
- Support the Service manager in the day-to-day maintenance of the property
- Prepare apartments for new move in’s and complete “make-ready” process of vacant apartments
- Complete resident service requests and repairs in a timely manner
- Maintain cleanliness of exterior buildings and parking areas, including snow, bulk trash and debris removal when needed
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections for equipment
- Knowledgeable and skilled in safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment
Experience and skills:
- Previous experience with painting, entry level carpentry, appliance repair, and basic plumbing
- High level of professionalism in both manner and dress
- Excellent communication skills; ability to read, write and communicate effectively
- Valid EPA/Universal certifications are highly desired
