Job Summary
This role is designed to capture market share in the Industrial Vacuum and Blower markets of Florida. This will be completed with direct sales action on strategic and critical vacuum and blower account relationships as well as the training and support for the existing ACF sales professionals calling on their compressed air customers for these new applications. Responsible for incremental sales growth as well as training, managing and supporting the existing salesforce in these applications.
Essential Job Functions
- Identify, target and penetrate OEM and Distributor Managed Blower and Vacuum Strategic Account relationships in Florida. Drive recurring sales volume and maintain customer satisfaction in those accounts.
- Develop sales proposals for blower and vacuum products both for direct customers and ACF sales professionals to deliver to plant engineers, maintenance personnel, purchasing agents, and/or company executives
- Train the ACF Compressor sales force to identify potential blower and vacuum applications in order to target new opportunities and provide a support function to capture this business from current ACF customers.
- Create presentations for Engineering firm lunch and learns to target design market segments.
- Maintain updated understanding of industry trends, technical developments, and government regulations that effect target markets
- Proactively take action to close sales and finalize contracts
- Meet established sales quotas and revenue goals
- Resolve customer’s problems with product and/or services
- Follow up on product deliveries and set proactive expectations with customer for ongoing vendor/customer relationship.
- Monitor and work within established expense allowance
- Generate detailed proposal; provide PMU and customer PO to Sales Coordinator for order processing
Additional Job Functions
- Assist Accounts Receivable to collect payment and financial documents from customers when necessary
- Establish and maintain a teamwork approach in the area of aftermarket products and service departments in order to develop and maintain customer loyalty
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (including physical and work environment)
- Well developed sales and presentation skills
- Computer literacy is required, including a working knowledge of applications such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Basic mechanical and technical aptitude including geometric and other mathematical formulas
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to establish a solid relationship with manufacturers
- Proven interpersonal skills with both internal and external customers
- Basic marketing knowledge
- Must be able to handle high pressure situations and adapt well to changes in the market
Minimum Job Qualifications (education, work experience, licenses/certifications)
- Bachelor’s degree or 3 to 5 years of sales experience (industrial Blower and Vacuum sales preferred), or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be able to properly operate a forklift (company certification required)
